It's important to find out whether a potential buyer is serious or not.
To do this, you can ask questions like these:
What areas or locations are you looking at?
Do you need to be close to schools, hospitals, shopping centres, highways, or churches?
What style of property are you looking for? For example, Tuscan, modern, traditional, classical, country or colonial?
How many bedrooms, bathrooms and entertainment areas do you need?
What would be a deal breaker if it is not available? For example, a staff room, garden, pool or cottage?
Do you want any specific security features? For example, a gated area, CCTV, security patrols, 24 hour access/security control?
What is your budget?
Are you paying cash?
Do you have a deposit - how much?
Do you have an approved bond from a bank?
If so, how much?
By asking these questions, you can avoid wasting time.
